ChatGPT Query Fan-Out Chrome Extension
Ask ChatGPT something that needs the web and it doesn't just run your question. It quietly splits it into a dozen parallel searches, reads a stack of pages, and cites only a few of them. This free query fan-out Chrome extension shows you all of it: the searches it really ran, the pages it read, and the ones it cited.
No ads · No tracking · All data stays on your device
I originally built this for my own SEO & GEO consulting clients — so they could see exactly how they show up inside ChatGPT's answers, and where their competitors get cited instead. They loved it. So I'm opening it up: free, for everyone.

What is query fan-out?
Query fan-out is how ChatGPT actually answers a web question. Instead of running your exact wording once, it breaks your prompt into many parallel searches, pulls sources for each one, then writes a single answer that cites just a handful of them. Watch that fan-out and you can see which searches really decide whether your content shows up, and gets cited, in ChatGPT's answers.

What the query fan-out tool shows
- Queries The actual search strings ChatGPT ran behind each prompt — the fan-out itself.
- Sources Every page it retrieved, grouped by domain, with cited vs. not-cited marked.
- Citations The sources that made it into the answer, and which domains keep winning.
Every conversation gets a quick summary (queries, sources, cited), so you can tell at a glance whether ChatGPT is picking up your pages or a competitor's.
How it works
- Open the side panel from the toolbar and use ChatGPT normally.
- As answers stream in, captures appear — grouped by conversation.
- Past chats? Open one and its data syncs on its own, under the conversation's original date.
- Drill into any conversation to inspect its fan-outs, copy any query or URL, and export it all as JSON or CSV.
Features
Any old conversation you open syncs automatically, even ones from before you installed.
Just use ChatGPT as usual — every fan-out is captured for you automatically.
See at a glance whether you or a competitor got cited in the answer.
Grab any query or URL in a click, and export everything to JSON or CSV for client reports.
Captures build into a searchable history, so you can track what ChatGPT cites over time.
Works in English and Hebrew.
Private by design
I don't track you. I don't show you ads. I don't harvest your data. And I never see or store any of it — everything lives on your device, never on my servers.
Everything it captures lives in your browser's local storage, on your machine. It only ever talks to ChatGPT, through your own session, on chatgpt.com and chat.openai.com. Nowhere else.
